Education is the key to success. Furthering my education beyond High School is highly important for many different reasons. Education allows me to expand and explore new opportunities and create new goals.
Business Administration Management and Marketing really grabs my attention. From my research communication technology has expanded marketing considerably. Social-media marketing is on the rise and the job outlook for marketing is continuing to increase. I have participated in many business courses throughout my High School career. A few courses I have taken are Retail and Music Marketing, Sports Marketing, and Advanced Web Design. These courses have showed me many different careers that tie in with marketing and how to be successful in this career pathway. The ideas to organize, plan, and control the functions of a business or organization really attracts me. Also, I believe developing consumer audiences and effective advertising design methods are essential for a business or organization to succeed. I have obtained the opportunity to experience this first hand. My stepfather has recently opened a diner. I helped him with the initial advertisements, planning, and organization that were needed. I truly enjoyed being a part of the decision making process. I learned how much time and money a business needs. Also, I learned ways to save money and still be efficient.
Next year I am planning to attend the University at Buffalo and pursue a degree in Marketing. I am currently searching for an internship for additional experience and knowledge. In twenty years from now I could see myself controlling all the aspects of Marketing for a business or organization. Without education I would be very limited on jobs and other opportunities to advance. Furthering my education will open many new doors for success.

Furthering my education beyond high school is important because in today’s world, it is almost impossible to advance and compete in a global economy without further education. Throughout my high school career, I have been working diligently to maintain good grades and my top ten standing of seventh in my class, hopeful to graduate in June 2012 with an improved ranking. Currently in my junior year, I have packed my schedule for senior year full to the brim with classes, all in order to advance in my career goals and to quench my thirst for knowledge and a higher education.
Realizing that to become a pharmacist, much schooling is required, I have decided to get a head start on college and pursue some college courses, in high school. College calculus and college chemistry are essential to my sought after profession. Along with these classes, I have decided to take C.E.I.P. This would allow me to intern for a pharmacist and acquire some “hands-on” experience, to be able to further my understanding and my outlook on the world of pharmacy.
These goals drive me to better myself, not just with higher education but with the hopes, that in the future, I will be helping people as a pharmacist.
